Given his first stint in England by Derby County, it was Stoke who beat Manchester City to his signature in June 2011 after the Bermudan had trials at a number of English clubs. Eve went on to make his debut for his international side at just 16 years old with fate playing a part, becoming the youngest Stoke City international in the history of the club, in the process. First choice Freddy Hall stayed at home with Northampton Town for an FA Cup tie with Luton whilst number two Tahj Bell did a number one on the pitch whilst warming up as a substitute, earning a suspension for his bladder relief.

A year behind fellow academy keeper Daniel Bachmann, Eve has been second choice but not without his plaudits since arriving at Stoke City.
