Peter Crouch joined the club along with Wilson Palacios in a double deal from Spurs in a busy deadline day in 2011. It is believed that the fee was around £10 million rising to £12 million.

His first goal was an equaliser against Manchester United. He then scored both goals in a 2-1 win at Blackburn taking him to 100 Premier League goals.

One of the best goals ever to be seen at the Brit was scored by Crouch against Manchester City in March 2012.

Crouch has continued in the role of a lone striker under the Hughes management and against Crystal Palace this season, in his 600th match in English football, he scored the equaliser.

The England international’s contract was set to expire at the end of the 2014/15 season but Crouch committed his future to the club and on the final day of the season, broke the record for most headed goals in the Premier League with the sixth of the day against Liverpool and the 47th of his career.
