Bojan Krkic’s second-half equaliser was enough to ensure The Potters remained unbeaten in six in the Premier League, and seven unbeaten against West Ham United.
But how did the players rate?
Lee Grant [GK] – 7
Superb performance from Grant who proved huge for Stoke at vital moments in the game. Nothing he could have done about the goal, and produced an outstanding save just before half-time from Ogbonna’s header.
Phil Bardsley [RB] – 6.5
Solid when called upon yet again, I think it’s a sign of his performance level that Slaven Bilic moved Dimitri Payet off the left because of how quiet Bardsley kept him in the first-half.
Ryan Shawcross [RCB] – 6.5
Defended reasonably well throughout the game. Again, there is a very promising partnership with Bruno Martins Indi forming, although my heart was in my mouth when he went down injured.
Bruno Martins Indi [LCB] – 7
Fantastic performance from the Dutchman, who’s been phenomenal of late for Stoke. His ability to know when to play, and when to clear his lines is notably impressive.
Erik Pieters [LB] – 6
Struggled in the first-half, generally, however, improved massively in the second. If he could cross a ball he’d be one hell of a player.
Glenn Whelan [RDM] – 5.5
Not one of Glenn’s best games today, Whelan gave the ball away too much for my liking today, and scored an unfortunate own-goal before being brought off for Bojan. Bad day at the office for Whelan today, I’m afraid.
Charlie Adam [LDM] – 7.5
I hope for Charlie’s sake Gordon Strachan was in attendance today, as Adam controlled the midfield with absolute ease. Adam’s ability to turn defence into attack, range of passing and his new found fitness is particularly pleasing. Long may it continue, Charlie.
Jonathan Walters [RM] – 6.5
Assist will mask an overall average, but professional performance from Super Jon today. Spurned a golden opportunity early on, and lacked quality in his crosses at times, however was involved in the goal as Jonathan Walters often is.
Joe Allen [CAM/CM] – 6.5
Not great, but not particularly poor. Allen was a touch short of his usual stellar performances of late, today. In the second-half, Allen seemed to tire, however, worked his socks off as usual.
Ramadan Sobhi [LM] – 7.5
Outstanding effort from the Egyptian in his first ever start for Stoke in the Premier League in difficult circumstances. Ramadan’s directness was key today, and was unfortunate not to create a goal for Stoke in the first-half after he turned in the box and drilled a superb pass across the face of the goal. It’s worth noting that Sobhi made the most tackles on the pitch today of any player.
Wilfried Bony [ST] – 5.5
Not his day again for Stoke in front of goal. Stoke struggled to get the ball to Bony throughout the majority of the game, and when they finally did, he was unable to make it stick. Bony will improve massively when Arnautovic and Shaqiri return for Stoke.
Bojan Krkic [CAM] – 7.5
Revolutionised Stoke when he was brought onto the field. He showed great anticipation to sneak in behind West Ham’s defence and finish expertly. Bojan will be hoping his performance is enough to earn his way back into the Stoke City starting XI.
Peter Crouch [ST] – 6
Wasn’t really on the field long enough to make a real impact, nice to see him involved in the build up to our equaliser, though.
Mame Biram Diouf [LM] – N/A.
